Fairchild Tropical Garden is a fantastic place to spend the day. Located next to Matheson Hammock State park and close to the restaurant filled, Miami neighborhoods of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. There are many things to see and do before and after a visit to the gardens, making a whole day trip a memorable outing for the whole family.
Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden is extensive and offer thousands of varieties of palms, cycads, cactus, orchids, and other plants in a beautifully maintained sanctuary. Older and younger visitors can enjoy a tram ride to get accustomed to the layout of the sprawling gardens and then perhaps meander around the areas they find most beautiful. There are also guided walking tours offered of the butterfly garden.
Fairchild Tropical garden features the glass art of Chihuly and other artists year round. It is a photographers heaven with beautiful shots around most every corner. Our family and guests always enjoy Fairchild. We would recommend it to anyone who enjoys being out in nature, or enjoys a peaceful walk. It is a true sanctuary near the city.
If you live nearby and plan on visitting more than once a year, membership is the way to go! Membership is a great value! Individual annual membership is $75, dual $90, family $125. If you and your partner go twice in one year on a dual membership you are already saving $10! Similarly, if you have 2 children a family membership would pay for itself in just 2 visits. Not to mention the savings attached with a membership!

Regular Admission is fairly expensive at $25 for adults, Seniors (65+) $18, Children 6-17 $12, Children under 5 free, Members are free. Active military are free, and their immediate family receives discounts.
