For those of you looking to shop, there are so many choices. From Lincoln Road Mall to Bal Harbor Shops to downtown Coral Gables you could spend a day or a week walking and shopping. Lincoln Road Mall is divine. A pedestrian friendly 7 block thoroughfare with a park-like ambiance, lined with many fantastic places to take in the sites and a bite. The mall stretches from Biscayne Bay to Miami Beach. Many locals bring there dogs, roller blades, bikes, strollers it is a very friendly, enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Located within the mall are Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, BeBe, and many many boutiques and galleries. One block north of the mall, you can find Macy’s, The Miami Beach Convention Center, and the Jackie Gleason Theater. It is a beautifully landscaped, amazing place to begin or end the day. At the end, of the Mall is the Ritz Carlton on the wide white sand world famous Miami Beach.

Coral Gables is a city in Miami dade County just 4 miles from the airport that offers a more downtown feel. With sidewalk cafes and boutiques lining the street,it is well worth the visit. It is very fresh and inviting.

It was one of the first planned communities designed by George Merrick in the 1920′s. The architecture in Coral Gables is almost entirely mediteranean style. the “city beautiful” has strict codes to uphold the pleasing aesthetic found there. The city boasts more than140 dining experiences and numerous high end international retailers. The downtown commercial district (known as the “Miracle Mile”) is 2 miles long and 4 blocks wide and very pedestrian friendly. The Gables is also home to the world renowned campus of the University of Miami (roughly 2 miles south of downtown).
